I want to start planing my reading again. I spend so much time dithering on what book I want to read next, I think that if I spend some time creating a list of books I want to read next, then it will get some structure into my reading life.I said in my 2019 goals post that I wanted to get back to about 80 books, but on last year thats nearly a 50% rise, so I’ve set my goodreads’ target at 65, which is just above a 15% rise over books read in 2018, and I feel more confident with that, then hopefully next year I can read more again and so on.
I want to read about 6 books a month, if I reach that, I will exceed my goodreads’ challenge, so there is a small buffer, but I think 6 is a good amount to aim for. One of these books will be my book club book, so I may not know that exact book when posting.
I also want to add a stretch goal choice of 2-3 books, whereby if I finish 6 books, I know what to read next rather than a mad panic.
So without any more rambling here are may January 2019 picks:-
Something to Tell You – Lucy Diamond
I’ve already read this book, and really enjoyed it. It feels like it has been a long time since I’ve read a book by Lucy Diamond, and I’m glad I did. Fingers crossed my review will be out next week!

The Dead Ex – Jane Corry
I’m over halfway through this book already, thanks to some busy afternoons in the kitchen, and am slightly addicted, and slightly annoyed my husband wants to walk with me to the shops later, meaning I’m missing out of being another hour closer to finishing!

Tell Me A Secret – Jane Fallon
I love a Jane Fallon book, I’ve read the first few pages and am looking forward to sticking my nose back in my kindle later when I can get deeper into it.

Less – Andrew Sean Greer
Book Club Pick – Not my typical choice of book, but that’s what I like about book club. This actually also sounds really interesting, so I look forward to reading something that’s ‘different’ for me.

The Man I Fell In Love With – Kate Field
A book that I hope will make me smile!

Sleep – C. L. Taylor
I’ve put off reading this for too long. To be fair, more than a second is too long when it comes to C. L. Taylor’s books!

Stretch Goal Books
A Year At Castle Court – Holly Hepburn
I was kindly sent this at the end of the year by Team BATC and I’ve missed Holly’s books, so I’m sure if I don’t reach this one this month, I’m sure it will find it’s way onto next month’s 6 must reads!

Don’t You Forget About Me – Mhairi Mcfarlane
I’ve not read a book by Mhairi Mcfarlane before, they all sound fabulous, but her newest one has definitely piqued my interest
